“NO PERMIT – NO EXAM POLICY”, Bid Good bye!

The House of Representatives has passed on third and final reading of the bill penalizing schools that do not allow students to take an examination if he or she fails to pay the tuition.

Thanks to the initiative of the bill’s author,  Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raymond “Mong” Palatino.

“The giant leap in our anti-‘no permit, no exam’ campaign was achieved primarily due to the unity  of students and parents and the quick action of Congress to boost the passage of the bill into law. This is good news and it sends a message to schools to desist implementing the ‘no permit, no exam’ policy.”

SEN. ZUBIRI, Bid Good bye!

The whole country yesterday was shocked as Miguel Zubiri resigned from his position as the Senator of the Republic of the Philippines.

FIRST IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY!

His resignation is due to the unfounded accusations of the 2007 election. A news network twitted that to save himself and his family from emotion and psychological stresses and to obtain “peace of mind,” resignation would be the best option for him.

However, despite of tendering his irrevocable resignation, he insisted that he has not committed any fraud during such election. So what was the resignation for when he himself is not convinced that he won by cheating? Rather than being so defensive, just be quiet because people are more or less convinced that the act of resignation was courageous, “heroic” one.

(Don’t you think it’s indeed heroic to give up the P200 million cholesterol-rich pork barrel every year?)

SAVE THE NATION, SAVE THE PHILIPPINE FLAG

Janella Lelis, 12-year old girl from Albay, is the most heroic of all since she rushed into the raging flood just to save the Philippine flag that was carried away. This happened as typhoon Juaning bursted its fury in the said province.

Janella is just one-of-kind!

Salute, salute, salute!
